A simple warding ritual

You’ll need:
-mugwort or white sage for a major warding, or rosemary for a minor warding
-an incense burner or an ashtray
-a charcoal briquette
-a fan or a piece of paper to spread the smoke (I use an A5 sized paper)

A major warding would be against unwelcome spirits, while a minor warding would be against negative energy.

Light the briquette and put the herb on it, or light the white sage bundle.
Walk around the room(s) and use the fan/paper to fan the smoke into the corners.
You can also say, at each corner: “This room is warded by [your deity]”.
