Lokes Rapsody

Music video from the Danish Yule calendar family show “Jul i Valhal”, from 2005

glemmer at fokusere, inde-sner i mere end

tilbage i mørke,

syng i flok

gå amok

gudechok

Lokelok

Ragnarok

It is virtually impossible to think
when you sit on your knees and are chained like a fool,
in all these years how and when
do I get the chance to cut my hair,
without a beard in my egg, I will leave my wall
and go home to them and with claws five,
be bad again, an old family friend who sticks his turncoat face forward,
and it may well be that two children get good ideas, overlooking a little a perhaps bad character, forget to focus, snowed in for more than a break, give me piano.

Hear how it crunches when I crush Aesir to shreds,
they hang in bunches laze about and fool around,
now you need to look out Thor, woman-like butter-tenor, know where you live.

I am not bitter or angry,
I just have an incredible urge to do everyone harm,
so now I’m taking off, will you (come) with.

Hey what is that – sniff sniff sniff- is it perhaps homemade [baking],
no, it’s the sweet smell of defeat, gods’ discomfort becomes the easiest thing
and with magic [wave of a wand],
I force Yule days back into the dark,
and pat cakes that unfortunately taste like drought
hey, Odin, you’re amusing in your ruin, a little one-eyed dwarf rabbit that shakes like a coward when I amuse myself
ho ho ho ho
I wonder who is backed into a corner, on retreat, divine babbling,

Soon begins a new era
with a guy named Loki

One can not just like that throw one’s family out
especially when they even have been born as a god
goosebumps

Enough is enough
sing in groups
go crazy
god shock
Loki [hair]lock
Ragnarok

I love it. The melody is good, and the lyrics rather funny in places. The actor who plays Loki has a nice voice. And Loki playing el guitar rocks!
The dancing jotun women in furry bikini is silly, though. ^_^

Thanks for your answer ! I love the “melody”, the sound of this video. The actor makes me laugh xD
I had recently discovered your LJ, and I wondered two “things”: how old are you, did you live in Norway or Finland ?
Forgive me for my curiosity… xD I’m a great novice in Lokean’s subjects and in paganism, I study a lot… Anyway, I love your LJ 😉

          Re: A little question
          I’m 45, and I live in Norway.
I’m glad you like my journal. 🙂
I’m hoping that maybe some of my flailings and thoughts might be useful to others who are new at this.

  2. Still too afraid to click…

  3. I was introduced to this by my Kik friend with the statement “this was my childhood”… Why the hell can’t they have this sorta stuff on Australian kids tv >.<
